"After 7 years and over 1,000 students trained, I have made the difficult decision to close RadTrain. I am very humbled by the feedback I have received from students over the years, and seeing how my courses have helped them navigate the radiology industry. If you haven't yet enrolled in my courses, I would encourage you to do so soon before registrations are closed for good. You will have unlimited access to any course from now until 25th November 2025. Thank you for supporting RadTrain."
- Tristan, RadTrain founder
Welcome! Tristan Charles here, CT mentor and creator of the CT Champion Course. While I was working as a CT Applications Specialist, time and time again I met fellow radiographers who just didn't have access to relevant and reliable CT training. Some were at the bottom of a very long list of colleagues waiting to get trained, while others were simply thrown into the deep end and told to run a CT department without any support.
I created the CT Champion Course to give radiographers an alternative to the outdated and under-resourced internal training systems that so many of us face during our career progression. This course is also a much more practical and cost-effective approach to completing further university training.
So if you want to get ahead in your CT department, or refine your CT skills and knowledge, then this course is for you.
About the course
The CT Champion Course is a 100% online course, meaning you can access it anywhere, anytime, and complete it at your own pace.
It's made up of eight modules, covering topics such as CT Physics and Principals, Radiation Safety, IV Contrast, CT Protocols, Pathology, Patient-care and Self-care, and much more - everything you need to know to give your radiologists great images, your patients great care and yourself a successful and satisfying career.
The lessons contain video content, lecture notes, diagrams, interviews, case studies, and multiple choice questions to test your knowledge. You will also be given access to loads of useful articles and journals that I have cherry-picked for you to read over in your own time.
What other students think...
Why is this course for me?
Our training in CT can widely vary depending on the year we graduated, the places we've worked and the people we've worked with. Being a standardised, scientific industry, this just isn't good enough.
I created this course to help ALL radiographers have an equal opportunity in their professional development, and provide the highest possible level of care to their patients.
You should consider signing up to this course if you:
-
Are new to radiography and want to get the best possible start in CT
-
Haven't been given enough on-the-job experience in CT
-
Have been "thrown in the deep end" with little-to-no support with running your CT scanner
-
Want to understand WHY we do things a certain way, rather than just pushing buttons.

FAQs
Where can I access the course?
Anywhere in the world, thanks to the magic of the internet! This is a 100% online course.
How long will it take me?
As we are sadly closing down, you will have online access to the course until 25th November 2025 (next year). No extensions will be given after this date.
Allow 1-2 hours per module, which can be completed at your own pace. It just depends on your schedule and level of commitment! You can revisit modules as many times as you like before your subscription expires.
You will also be given a PDF summary of the entire course. Yours to keep, FOREVER!
Can I claim CPD points?
Allow 1-2 hours per module for reference article readings and the course content, which would come to 8-16 hours of CPD learning. This meets your yearly CPD requirements set by the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPBA).
If you are a member of ASMIRT, use the Online Education / Distance Learning activity type to claim 2.5 points per hour.
If you work in another country, you may have to check with your CPD provider.
What prerequisites do I need?
It is recommended to have completed, or in the process of completing, a degree in medical imaging (either undergraduate or postgraduate).
The amount of work experience you have had in radiography and CT is not an issue - you will benefit from this course if it is your 1st or 30th year on the job!
